Tea Time with Ghosts

  • Google Calendar ICS

Dani Burlison and I are inviting local (Northern California) people to join us, starting in November, for a 6-month community of people tending the winter months with their beloved dead. Beginning with a Death Cafe and writing circle in November, we will explore our relationship to death, land-based animism, grief and joy, dreams, synchronicity and rituals for ancestral reverence and connection (based on your own unique lineages).

We will meet twice at a local Sonoma County cemetery in November and April for in-person sessions, and twice on Zoom throughout the winter months. Participants will receive activity suggestions to deepen their individual work, readings and more via email and participants will have the option of meeting individually with either/both of us for deeper work (contact us directly to inquire about services/fees).

Dates for IN PERSON (in Santa Rosa): Saturday November 5, 10am-12:30pm and Sunday April 28, 2024 10-12:30pm

Dates for live ZOOM CALL: Thursday December 14, 6:30-8pm and Thursday February 1, 2024, 6:30-8pm

Dates for email lessons: TBA

Payment information: We are offering this on a sliding scale fee to ensure accessibility for a range of people from different backgrounds. Please read this great post from Worts and Cunning about sliding scale fees as tools for social justice and equality. Our workshop includes two live in-person meetings, two lives Zoom meetings and email lessons over the course of six months, and our sliding scale breaks down as follows: $350 / $260 / $150

Space is limited so please register early!

Climate Cafe

Climate Cafe

Wishing there were more conversations about Climate Change, but don’t know where to begin? Feeling isolated in your experience of ecological grief or anxiety?

Do you find yourself wondering how to be a vulnerable human animal, feeling like you need to run, hide or somehow be heroic?

Do you feel hopeless or overwhelmed with what seems like an all pervasive threat from which there’s no escape? Wish you could shift out of a “doom and gloom” narrative?

Are you burdened with work for your community (or clients, if this is part of your work), especially in knowing that Climate Change disproportionately impacts the more vulnerable among us?

Lighten your emotional burden and co-regulate your nervous system in a gentle group experience, created to help process feelings, build community and foster shared meaning.

Join us for a Climate Cafe.

Each cafe will be 90 minutes online, and are a helpful adjunct to your own therapy, or an opportunity for feeling supported if you have found the cost of therapy prohibitive or have had difficulty finding a practitioner.
